What is Reiki?

The word Reiki is really made up of two words in Japanese however you must understand that Japanese words have many meanings for the same word which can often be very confusing.

Rei can mean spirit or higher intelligence/consciousness.

Ki means life force or vital energy.

So the two words combined together to create Reiki is often said to be ‘Spiritually guided healing energy’.

Reiki works by harmonizing the energetic fields of both the practitioner and the recipient for the highest good intention.

This process is in physics known as Entrainment.

Entrainment is when two oscillating energies lock into each other and then they harmonize equally with the weaker oscillating energy body matching the stronger of the two until they become equal. In this process you can then see how healing begins to occur with intention on an energetic level.

How does Reiki energy heal me?

During a session of Reiki, the healing energy will be transferred to the client by way of the practitioner’s hands, using contact or close proximity, or no contact.

The practitioner and client being close together begins to harmonize both energies as discussed earlier.

Every cell and atom in the universe is in a constant state of vibration. It is these vibrations that are channelled during a Reiki session.

If you as a client have come for a Reiki treatment, and due to whatever ailment you have, your cellular and atomic vibration is lower than it should be, then your weaker vibration will soon match the stronger vibration of the practitioner who is channelling Reiki energy.

This is actually what is meant when new age spiritual workers speak in vague riddles about raising vibration!
